So here we are two years down the line and what do we have to show for it. Well other than all the politics, comings and goings and second comings (this all sounds very reminiscent of a certain band!). Some folk out there gave us a few months but Rock Legend is still here and as strong as ever. The site is being recognised as the best place for Thin Lizzy supporters on the web, we’ve been featured in Rock magazines worldwide, we're the main "Thin
Lizzy" link on many band's and rock info web pages, and we have been given exclusive news from former Lizzy band members. Not bad really considering the site is still only very young.
So enough of blowing our own trumpet and dwelling on the past the question is what fate does the future hold (it ain’t pretty!) Well knowing the goings on with RL it probably won’t be pretty! But what the hell that’s all part and parcel of it and why we keep on coming back for more. Three of the founders of the site are still very much on board, that’s
PhilO, Dr Dan and myself, a few young whipper snappers have expressed an interest in helping us along and injecting some new ideas in to the site. A full list of credits and contributors can be found via the "Who We Are" link on the main page.
The news page and the Forum are very much at the heart of RL and no doubt this will continue to be the main focus of the site. I’ve been working up a Grand Slam page which will hopefully see the light of day if I get my finger out and we are hoping to update the other areas of the site with help from our friends. An official Robbo page is also in the pipeline.
The recent upsurge of interest in the band mainly down to a certain T-shirt! has ensured that things are looking very healthy indeed. The latest greatest hits collection almost hit top spot in the album charts and with the numerous tribute events happening world-wide, the reputation of Philip Lynott and Thin Lizzy continues to grow. Rock Legend will be around to keep everyone as up to date as we possibly can and no doubt the RL Forum will be the place to check out the latest rumours and those passionate debates which rage from time to time.
It’s been a hell of a ride so far and long may it continue!
