Brian Robertson Recording Session No. 3

Monday December 8th 2008

Hi there!
Glad to inform all of you that Robbo and his Swedish gang will be going into Polar Studios in Stockholm for the third time this year.

The session has been booked for December 15th to December 19th with the usual suspects involved. This time round we'll revisit songs that Robbo had in mind for Wild Horses and The Hellfire Club, as well having a go at some brand new songs as well as the odd cover or two ... we'll keep you posted!

Robbo - Studio Report  - Session No. 3 - Day 1 & 2

Wednesday December 17th 2008

We've put the backing tracks down for three new songs, "Devil In Her Soul", "Passion" and "Texas Wind".

Three groovy, riffy rockers that we all enjoyed immensely recording. Drums, bass, some rhythm guitars, keyboards and grand piano were laid down during the first two days and today is a big day for Robbo with rhythm guitar, acoustic guitar and some fills and lead work.
Tomorrow we will have Leif Sundin in, to do the vocals and Friday is set for overdubs and quick rough mixes … then it's time for a break over Christmas.

Robbo - Studio Report  - Session No. 3 - Day 3 & 4

Friday December 19th 2008

Last day today will see us through lead guitars and rough mixes and hopefully lead to a couple of days rest over Christmas.

Lead vocals were taken care of yesterday and it's starting to sound really great. Look out for "Passion" as it has very strong commercial potential and mixed in the right way could easily become material for rock radio stations.

With a little luck we should be able to carry on with the next session in the beginning of February, next year.

This will give us some time to choose from our big bag of goodies.

We think that you will be impressed with what the Wee Man has stashed away over the years.

It's time to let these beautiful songs be heard with proper updated production and all under the name of Brian Robertson.

All of us, Ian, Nalle, Leif, Linnéa, Robbo, Ulf, Lennart, Karin and Sören wish you all a very Merry Christmas and we're looking forward to keep on rocking in 2009.
